Indiana Jones 4...

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD>

I am going to preface this one with one phrase: "I loved this movie."
I'm sure there are a ton of people out there that will hate me for saying that, but it's the truth, it was a really good movie.

I do however have a couple of theorys as to why people hate it so much:

1)The aleins (sorry interdimensional beings): Okay this one is probably the most obvious, but I really actually liked the concept. The reason that I think alot of people didn't like the aleins is that frankly it's been done to death by popular media, sooooo pretty much everyone has there own ideas about what aleins should be. On top of that it kinda threw some people off to not have the storyline based around a single artifact and also ebd with it (Raiders=Ark of The Covenant, Temple=Stones, Last Crusade=Holy Grail) but then we get to Crystal Skull where it starts relativly similar, the search for the lost city with the crystal skull. Thats all good, but then once we get to the city all of a sudden it's about these aleins and interdimensional travel and such things. being the huge Sci-fi nerd that I am I was very easily switch over to "Okay this is the kinda story it's turning into" but I think some people really didn't like this switch. Personally I thought it was awesome, but then thats just me.

2)The age, another obvious one. But still it's the truth. And I'm just talking about Harrison being 65, (But I do have to say he can still kick some serious ass), what I'm talking about is the time period specifically the 50's. People are used to seeing Indy with 30's technology fighting Nazi's, not with 50's tech and the life, fighting Communists. I actually really liked what it brought to the movie, it brought alot of great scenes into exsistence that wouldn't have otherwise, namely the Greaser/ (Other guys, darnit, and you know I'll remember what there'll called as soon as I post this) fight in the restaurant, the Nuke (Hell yes, I loved the nuke scene), and a ton of others which I can't remember at the moment because it's 11 at night I'm to bloody tired, but movine on.

3)As it is nearly 11, I can't remember any more at the moment. But if I remember tomorrow I'll throw them up here)

As much as I loved this movie there were, ahem, certain scenes I could have done without, cough*groundhogs*cough. So seriously what is up with these groundhogs, there'll like this little furry speed bumps that poke there heads out when they need a cut away shot. Also the whole Tarzan thing, I wouldn't say nessacarily remove this scene but it could definitly use some tooling. Really for me all it would have taken was one or two shots where he's like hesistant but than does it anyways, and is shocked that he can do it, and then continue on. But nooo, it's like 'You want me to swing from tree to tree and catch up with a speeding car...okay." No thought just go.

Overall I would say that movie is definitly a worthy addition to the Indy series, even if it isn't the same as the first three (Which frankly is a very good thing, cause they already made those ones).

I give it overall, 8.5/10.

Well here's my second post. Whoohoo!! Makin progress!

Well let's see how it goes...

I never really thought I'd get a blog but here I am. I'm not sure how often I'll post here, but I'll try to get on as often as I can. Alot of my stuff will probably be update on current films I'm working on, movie stuff, or anything that sorta pops into my head. I guess thats what these things are for, lol.

Well I guess I might as well start of with some basics.

My name is Chris, I'm 16 live in Alberta, Canada, and am in Grade 11.
I like 3D Animation, film making, watching movies, Improv. (I'm on the Improv team at my school), acting, drawing.
I am a HUGE fan of Sci-Fi! But also love crime shows (mostly stuff like Bones, CSI, Numbers, etc.) along with other random stuff.
I hope to be going to Vancouver Film School after I graduate for 3D Animation and Visual Effects.
Unfortunatly one of the things that is really holding me back right now as far as my movie making goes. I s I have a really crummy computer so that when I try to do my 3D animation and such it literally just about dies and really lags. I'm trying to save to get a new laptop but with life being as busy as it is, it's not going so well. (No I am not above begging for money! LOL) But I don't have a Paypal yet. That is soon to come hopefully, just case anyone is feeling randomly generous, (Yah like that'll happen).

If you want to see my vids so far that I have posted, my user name on YouTube is maul291, or I guess I could just give you a link.

So take a look and comment! It would really help me out. So I guess I'll sign off now.
Til next time!
